How you facilitate the Sprint Review meeting, then, is a matter of personal preference. I encourage ScrumMasters to start the review by setting the stage-a quick recap of what was committed at Sprint Planning, followed by a quick review of which backlog items were completed and which were not. Some ScrumMasters go as far as opening the ´oor for discussion of why there were incomplete backlog items. I personally do not recommend discussing this here, as it can degrade into a ‹nger-pointing session that, in the end, does not complete the demonstration of the product to the Product Owner before the team runs out of time. If you want to discuss why backlog items were not completed, discuss it at the Sprint Retrospective meeting.
