ABSTRACT
TRIP1 has been defined within the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) as a mechanism to exchange telephony prefixes between two peer Location Servers (LSs). LSs are responsible for maintaining telephony routes in a dedicated table called TRIB (Telephony Routing Information Base). A Local Server can be co-located with other elements, such as Session Border Element (SBE).
