ABSTRACT
Although our current approach to nonclinical evaluation of the safety of drugs generally serves us well in identifying potential adverse effects of drugs before they go into man, almost all drugs in clinical use have side effects, serious and not so serious, that are only identi˜ed after they are in clinical use.
