ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses execution of pervasive data mining tasks from mobile devices through the use of Web services. Section 7.1 introduces mobile data mining. Section 7.2 discusses the use of Web services in mobile environments. Section 7.3 describes a client-server system for mobile data mining based on Web services. Finally, Section 7.4 presents a mobile-to-mobile (M2M) data mining architecture designed to enable mobile knowledge discovery in a wide range of wireless network scenarios.
