ABSTRACT
History A 75-year-old man presents complaining of difficulty swallowing together with intermittent regurgitation of undigested food, often some time after eating. This has been slowly worsening. There is occasionally choking and coughing at night. There is no associated pain or heart burn and no history of weight loss or chest symptoms. He has a 30 packyear smoking history.
