ABSTRACT
Part II, which described secure services, consisted of three chapters: 5, 6, and 7. Chapter 5 discussed web services and secure web services. In particular, we first discussed what is meant by services. Next, we discussed high-level concepts in service-oriented computing. Realizing service-oriented information systems through service-oriented archive turns and web services was discussed next. We also discussed security issues for services. Chapter 6 discussed semantic web services since several of our prototypes for the cloud utilize semantic web technologies. Specialized secure web services and security were the subject of Chapter 7.
