ABSTRACT

A major part of the sustainable approach to the urban water infrastructure process is the provision of continuous service. Historically, water supply, drainage, stormwater collection and disposal, sewage collection and treatment, and receiving water utilization are the main components of urban water systems that should be integrated into the provision of providingwater services. The policies affecting the usage of receiving waters, including natural functions, in-stream uses, and withdrawals (e.g., for water supply), are the driving forces that control urban drainage and wastewater effluents.
