ABSTRACT
The GlobalSoilMap (GSM) community recognises the importance of uncertainty quantification and has included it in the specification requirements of any product produced under the GSM project. In this respect it is leading among other initiatives in environmental mapping, where uncertainty quantification is often ignored or only a summary measure of map accuracy is required.
