ABSTRACT
Indications Needle-localized breast biopsy is indicated for diagnosis of nonpalpable breast
abnormalities considered suspicious for carcinoma (BIRADS 4 or 5) which are not suitable for image-guided breast biopsy. Needle biopsy may also be indicated for removal of lesions diagnosed as atypical hyperplasia or carcinoma by core biopsy.
