ABSTRACT

It is very easy to predict the effect of extended sampling on the parameter Δ; if the size of a sample doubles, so should the expected size of the largest population. However, it is not so easy to discover how the parameter ε tends to behave in this situation. The analysis in Section 6.1 indicates a linear relationship, with further work still required.
