Lighting – and Human Failings

Artificial lighting is a major factor in deciding the quality of the internal environment of offices. It is also a serious contributor to carbon dioxide, (CO₂) emissions accounting in the US, for example, for up to 30 per cent of total electricity use (Scientific American, March 2001). For these reasons it is a subject that warrants special attention.
