In this part there are five areas of IT management that are considered in terms of key issues that are frequently encountered. For each issue, the following will be discussed.
• Background. How the issue arises and its importance are covered here. • Impact. This is the effect on IT and management if the issue is not
addressed. • Prevention. In some cases, you can act ahead of time to head off an issue
and prevent it from occurring. • Detection. Tips are provided to help you detect signs that the issue is
emerging. • Action. These are steps that can be taken to address the issue.
