ABSTRACT
For the line producer, the bulk of the work is during pre-production. Staying focused, organized, on schedule, and in constant communication with the crew will ensure a smooth run into production. Some of the tasks included in the pre-production checklists will carry over into the production period. Screen Actors Guild (SAG) guidelines and the rule handbook are provided in the package. Based on their locations, budget, and cast contracts, they may need to rent motor homes or star trailers for the course of the show or for particular locations. Stop! Go back to the pre-production checklists and review every item on every list to see what must still be done. Go through the pre-production checklists during the meeting to verify that each department has taken care of its responsibilities.
