ABSTRACT
This core unit on analytical methods has four outcomes: algebra, trigonometry, the calculus and statistics and probability. All of these outcomes are covered within this support pack. Together with, some example material from the more advanced topics, taken from the Further Analytical Methods unit and the level 2 unit Engineering Mathematics. The engineering applications of the above subjects is considered an essential tool for all prospective and practicing engineers. Therefore tutors are encouraged to emphasise the appropriate applications of the subject matter, whenever the opportunity arises.
