ABSTRACT
Event studies is the academic field devoted to creating knowledge and theory about planned events. Every field requires a unique core phenomenon, and it is the study of all planned events that most obviously distinguishes event studies. This encompasses their planning and management, outcomes, the experience of events and meanings attached to them, and all the dynamic processes shaping events and the reasons why people attend them.
