ABSTRACT
This chapter explores the fundamental aspects of lesson planning and provides some guidance to help you start developing some of the skills needed to plan lessons effectively. Before you start to teach a lesson you need to have some idea of what learning you would like to take place and how the lesson will facilitate this learning. This will involve more than just a consideration of how to structure the time available within a lesson.
