ABSTRACT
This book is aimed primarily at graduate trainee geography teachers. As we pointed out in the Introduction, the PGCE year is intensive and demanding. But it soon ends and successful ‘beginning teachers’ find themselves, perhaps a touch too soon, in the position of Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs)—members of the teaching profession with (very often) full timetables to match, even though not yet fully Registered Teachers.
