ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we will consider the 5-Step Behaviour Programme (which for younger children incorporates the Good Choice Teddy Approach). This is a useful programme for primary schools to use and apply, especially those schools which have a number of children with persistent low-level or challenging behavioural problems. The 5-Step Behaviour Programme was originally created to facilitate work with challenging pupils in difficult schools and is now in use throughout a number of schools and LAs in England and Wales (Morgan and Ellis, 2009).
