ABSTRACT
As discussed earlier (see p. 12 ) colleges have always responded to change. The difference now is that the amount of change they are having to face is increasing and the amount of time required to respond to it is getting shorter. The pace and direction of change will mean that over the next ten years colleges will become very different places from what they are today.
