ABSTRACT
150Throughout the 1980s new schools and public buildings designed by the Hampshire county architects' department achieved a great deal of recognition, and received a number of awards. Burnham Copse, completed in 1986, is just one of a long line of new schools in the county, and is no more noteworthy than many of the others, but it does demonstrate both an approach to architecture and to school planning that is typical of its time.
