CHAPTER 9: MOVIE ACCOUNTING explains basic movie accounting terms and concepts with examples of accounting, measures of profitability, and essential shifts in the accounting landscape. Readers will understand the genesis of the accounting practices, and the underlying causes of lawsuits centered around accounting. Budgets and cash-flow statements, and amortization will be explained and the differences between GAAP – corporate accounting versus contractual accounting.
