W E HA VE TREATED the asyndeton-polysyndetongroup of figures at length because they provide a good introduction to the figures in general. What we now require isa way to systematically survey the full range of the figures. This is provided by another group of figures, intrinsically perhaps the least interesting of all, the figures of metaplasmus. You have used a metaplasmic figure when you have purposely misspelled.
