An important collection of documents concerning the relationship of the composer to his teacher, Giovanni Simone Mayr, which includes many letters. These letters may be found on pp. 5-101. A list of works by Donizetti is included (pp. 143-51), as well as a worklist for Mayr (pp. 153-58).
