ABSTRACT

The verbs meaning ‘do’, ‘see’, and ‘hear’ are irregular only in the past tense. The present and future tenses use the imperative stem and behave entirely like regular first-conjugation verbs, described in Units 11-12. Only the past tense will be discussed here. Each verb uses a distinct past-tense stem for statements; ‘do’ and ‘see’ have separate dependent forms as well.
