ABSTRACT
The impact of the Tet offensive is complex and varied. It assuredly was a pivotal moment in the American war in Vietnam. In less than three months, the Johnson administration had gone from expressing optimism for progress and victory to a complete change in policy that began the process of the ultimate American withdrawal in January 1973.
