ABSTRACT

This book has presented key findings from investigative case studies to address the sparse literature on innovation in small construction firms, namely, the definition of innovation; the motivation to innovation; the organisational factors of innovation; the modes of innovation; and the process of innovation. This chapter summarises this research, and draws implications and recommendations. First, the contribution to innovation in small construction firms theory is presented. Second, recommendations are given for policy makers. Finally, recommendations are offered for small construction firm practitioners.
