ABSTRACT
In adult learning, students have considerable autonomy in relation to how they go about their studies. The ethos of e-learning supports the notion of autonomy because it allows for flexible approaches to time management and access to information. However, autonomy generally brings with it responsibilities and duties and this is true of adult, flexible learning approaches. Hence this chapter will discuss some of these responsibilities and duties.
