ABSTRACT
This chapter looks at the three issues of assessment, evaluation and research in relation to e-learning. It covers the construction and submission of assignments for e-learning assessment and provides practical advice around seeking support and guidance. The construction of academic work will be considered briefly. You can use the many books and websites focusing on study skills and assessment skills to provide you with deeper advice on, for example, writing essays. The aim of this chapter is to provide you with an overview and help you to get started. We must also consider both the evaluation of e-learning and research into online working since, as a student in a relatively new world, you are likely to be asked to give your opinions and reflections on the issues raised for you during the learning process.
