ABSTRACT

Thus far our discussion has centred on various interpretations of the current quantum theory. But one of the implications of an ontological approach is that within its conceptual framework it is possible to contemplate certain modifications and extensions of the mathematical laws that go beyond the domain of the current quantum theory. In this chapter we shall discuss a number of suggestions along this line made by various authors and in the last section (14.6) we shall also include some of our own proposals for doing this.
