Technological practice is a means to realise students' thinking and design ideas in order to solve technological problems. This chapter is organised as a narrative in which two fictitious children work their way through early childhood education (ECE), primary and secondary schools. Some of the units are loosely based on actual experiences of the authors. The children's experiences and activities in technology education are described. In parallel to this runs teacher commentary about the planning and thinking that has gone into the technology learning undertaken by the students.
