ABSTRACT
This chapter attempts to find Lower Predicate Calculus-1 (LPC1) interpretations of syllogistic schemata which will preserve the validity of the entire traditional system all seem to have broken down. There is, however, an alternative approach which, while still keeping within LPC1, will enable us to fare better. The point of unifying the whole system under one hypothesis is that it enables us to claim to have solved the problem of finding a ‘reflection’ of traditional syllogistic in LPC1.
