The historical information, the social profile, and the community characteristics are required the Feasibility Report containing information on the setting. This part of the Feasibility Report includes specific information on the historical and present-day population, economy, social structure, and cultural patterns of the area. Another part of the Feasibility Report deals with problems and needs of the area and calls for information concerning a variety of social data, including demographic and economic projections and various social and cultural needs of the area. The purpose of the social profile is to depict a clear, concise, easy to understand summary of the social features of the study area as compared with the regional, state, or national averages, or other baseline data, as appropriate. The investigator should briefly describe the communities in the planning area in terms of size, and general economic characteristics.
