ABSTRACT

Harriet Walter is best known as a classical actress in the UK, famous for her work in Shakespeare, Chekhov and ‘modern classics’ such as the National Theatre’s recent production of Tom Stoppard’s Arcadia and Lillian Hellman’s The Children’s Hour. Her film work has included The Good Father and Louis Malle’s Milou in May. Her television work includes lan McEwan’s The Imitation Game, The Price and (perhaps her best-known role) the adaptation of Ann Oakley’s The Men’s Room.
