ABSTRACT

Carole Woddis worked as a Press Officer with the RSC, the National Theatre, the Round House, and the Royal Ballet before becoming a journalist at Time Out and for six years at City Limits. Now in her fifties, she is a freelance writer who teaches and reviews regularly for a number of publications, including the Glasgow Herald (for whom she is the London theatre correspondent), What’s On in London, the Jewish Chronicle, Everywoman, Capital Gay, and New Statesman and Society. She has been co-editor of two volumes of the Bloomsbury Theatre Guide and has also edited her own collection of interviews with leading actresses: Sheer Bloody Magic (Virago).
