What is critical community psychology?

In this chapter we explore the foundations of a critical community psychology. We present an overview of the nature and origins of community psychology and go on to examine different definitions and their emergence in different places. We suggest some of the key themes and global trends in critical community psychology. Lastly we explore the role of social movements in relation to critical community psychology and the core values that characterise the practice.
