ABSTRACT

This chapter explains the differences between professional qualities, ethical core values, and ethical principles. It identifies and attunes to where in the body professional qualities, ethical core values, and ethical principles are located. Embodied ethics involves contemplating and experiencing ethics drawing upon current research on the wisdom of our bodies. This expressive arts activity is designed to assist participants in understanding how the role of attuning to one’s body aids in making sound ethical decisions. The intended audience is students, mental health professionals, other professionals, clients, and organizations. Other professionals may substitute applicable professional ethical values for clients and substitute personal values for the ethical values; organizations may substitute organizational values for ethical values.
