ABSTRACT

have kept a watchful eye on the attachment theory literature and I attachment therapy seminars in vogue throughout my career, but especially during the past decade. The recent concept that has both attracted and fascinated me has been the idea of earned security (Holmes, 2010; Odgers, 2014), as discussed briefly in Chapter Two. It has been announced very modestly, without any banging of drums: it is still slowly evolving. Indeed, as I write, I find an evening seminar has been announced (by nscience), to be run by Jeremy Holmes, on the subject of earned security and other major tenets of attachment theory.
