ABSTRACT

inC is not a complete conceptualizer model but more like a framework that has been elaborated in some parts. This is the consequence of modeling a large stretch of cognition. inC contains gaps and hooks, places for further enhancements that will lead toward a more complete model of the conceptualizer. This chapter gives an overview of in C as a whole. Before describing inC's architecture, the chapter compares inC to unified cognitive architectures and explains why they are too restrictive for the author's purposes. It describes the architectural principles underlying inC's design. The chapter covers the following topics: inC's processes, its representations, the increments between the processes, its parameters, and, finally, inC's preprocessing unit and the corresponding increments.
