ABSTRACT

Mr. E. Cassleton Elliott warmly commended Sir Richard’s Ycabsley keen and energetic work during the past eighteen months and the ability with which he had conducted all the proceedings leading to Integration. The resolution was carried by loud applause; 1957 had redeemed 1897. The English Institute expressed the hope that the process of admitting members of the Society to membership of the Institute would be completed in three large groups at the Council meetings in January, February, and March 1958; and this hope was substantially fulfilled. After consideration, the Council of the English Institute came to the conclusion with much regret that Incorporated Accountants’ Hall could not be used advantageously in the changed circumstances of administration and by the reason of the projected policy of the Institute as to the future accommodation. Accordingly, Incorporated Accountants’ Hall was sold in 1959 and realized 168,000.
