ABSTRACT
“Nothing Sacred” was a first-rate motion-picture title in the sense that it appealed to the American sophisticates of the late 'thirties. The picture itself, however, was not altogether palatable to the devotees of the brave new world, for it discreedy pointed out one very important truth: namely, that it is impossible to maintain stable personalities or a coherent society unless there is something sacred.
