ABSTRACT

Migration is regarded as a symptom of basic social change. Its importance as a social phenomenon currently seems to be growing. Therefore, questions have been raised as to why people move from one country to another. Furthermore, what kind of people are more prone to migrate? And what are the motives of the migrants who make this kind of decision? It is known that migration varies during different times. It is also known that it has changed greatly during the last decades. Because of the improved physical and technical circumstances today, it seems to be easier now to make a decision to migrate, particularly, if a migrant has financial inducements to make a move. Also the development of modern society in more professionalized task areas has created new opportunities for people to migrate.
