ABSTRACT
In this chapter and the previous one, we have assumed that schools will wish to negotiate a common core to whole school planning and record keeping systems which all members of staff will be expected to use. Beyond this common core, staff may be required to undertake further tasks with pupils in certain age groups - for example, Baseline Assessment in Early Years. They may also decide to undertake additional planning and record keeping, according to their own preferences.
