ABSTRACT

School processes are the only measures over which we have almost complete control in the education setting. Public schools cannot control who the students are, where they come from, or why they think the way they do when they come to us. However, schools can control a portion of the student learning results—through their processes. School processes are actions administrators and teachers take to achieve the purpose of the school—the vision. Continuous school improvement is a major process that can be analyzed by using the Continuous Improvement Continuums. The main reason is to discover where staff perceive the school is right now on major areas of continuous school improvement, which shows everyone where the school is right now. When schools commit to continuous school improvement, they understand processes must be studied and improved. Analyzing processes is a must as schools move from compliance to commitment to continuous school improvement.
