ABSTRACT
Building and testing models is a proper procedure for finding out what’s really going on, as is analyzing documents (which, when extended to examinations of films, Internet sites, images, and other forms of communication is referred to as “content analysis”). Comparison of two or more objects of study is also a proper procedure. In this Chapter, models are discussed first, followed by descriptions and examples of document analysis and comparison.
