ABSTRACT

The Learner-Active, Technology-Infused Classroom (LATIC) is a complex framework based on several key paradigm shifts. As warrior, and thus advocate, be sure to connect the LATIC vision to school leaders district’s goals so they are not seen as competing with it, but rather as working in concert with it. A savvy leader realizes that as teachers embark on the journey of designing LATIC, it may take several years to produce the kind of results that would have others in the larger organization take notice; and we live in a “quick fix” society. Commend the teacher; congratulate the student; contact the parents; share leader’s stories with district administrators; publish their stories in newsletters; share classroom moments in their faculty meetings. There are many instances where mandates come from the state or district that may or may not align with leaders school’s LATIC approach.
