ABSTRACT
The Victorian passion for collecting was by no means confined to the adult world and from an early age children were encouraged to identify objects and effectively 'curate' the formation oftheir own collections. Naturally Victorian and Edwardian children reflected in their collecting the enthusiasms of their adult mentors, and it goes without saying that this applies to children's collecting in any period.
