ABSTRACT
Whereas the Owner Organization's (OO) involvement in a project is truly cradle to grave', the involvement of the Supplier Organization (SO) relates only to the life of its fragment of the project. An alternative arrangement has the Owner Organization (OO) engaging a Supplier Organization (SO) as a lead contractor, whose fragment is the whole pool construction project. Organizations in the position of Acme Pool Services are very keen to protect themselves from these types of problems, for instance by adopting back to back' terms and conditions whereby the contracts between themselves and their clients are as identical as possible to those with their suppliers. As such, Acme Pool Services would look to engage its suppliers with a contract that includes this follow on work, as well as the current project, in which case the parties may choose to establish a Call-off' contract.
