ABSTRACT
A prominent political scientist and educator, George Kateb has taught at Amherst College since 1957 and has served on the editorial boards of Political Theory, American Political Science Review, Raritan, and Massachusetts Review. His books include Utopia and Its Enemies (1963), Political Theory: Its Nature and Uses (1968), and Hannah Arendt: Politics, Conscience, Evil (1984).
