ABSTRACT

Well, I made it through my toughest day yet in Palestine alive—just barely. Yesterday I went down to Saffa, where the village council had invited internationals and Israelis to take part in an action against the Wall. Across the Saffa valley where the bulldozers are working is the village of Bil’ain, where there have been a series of large and persistent demonstrations like the one I attended in late February. Last year the center of grassroots village resistance was Budrus. This year it’s Bil’ain.
