ABSTRACT
I never wanted to write any of these six memorial tributes, but in 2005, four of these wonderful artists left us, and in 2006, another old friend did as well. They all made such a contribution to our culture, and were such wonderful people to know. George Plimpton, the sixth, passed away in 2003.
